Your thoughts and words craft your present and are currently crafting your future; this is why the “I AM” statement is so important. And why it's important not to let anyone identify your "I AM" for you.
“I AM” is a powerful statement that can shift your life for the better! It isn’t something that works for some and won’t work for you; it works when you believe and work at it.
In order to see real change in your life as well as success in your endeavors, you must learn to re-program your thoughts and keep them positive – ESPECIALLY the thoughts about yourself! You have the power to decide who you are and who you’d like to become.
However, the unfortunate truth is that most of us are very critical and don’t have the most positive thoughts about ourselves. Many of our personal beliefs have actually stemmed from the beliefs of others. We have allowed others’ thoughts about us to have so much power over our own influence that we believe that is who we are.
No matter what, it is important to remember that no one can identify your “I AM” for you!
When people speak ill on you and you hold onto those negative thoughts, they can become self-fulfilling prophecies. As you begin transforming your life you must deliberately do the opposite and create positive thoughts about yourself. If not, you can end up talking or thinking yourself into believing that you're not good enough. As a result, these thoughts drag down your confidence, mood, and outlook on life.
When they say, “You are weak,” your response should be “I AM STRONG.”
When they say, “You are poor,” your response should be “I AM RICH.”
When they say, “You are damaged,” your response should be “I AM HEALED.”
ONLY YOU CAN IDENTIFY YOUR “I AM!”
“I AM” is a great affirmation that will challenge you to overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. The more your repeat them often, and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes.
Take a second to be honest with yourself:
What do YOU think of YOURSELF? What are you saying about who you are on a daily basis?
